To be fair, there is a big difference between pundits chatting opinionated shite and them making up factual lies about you.Gash wrote: ↑Sun Mar 15, 2026 12:14 pm Gordon the latest thin skinned footballer to bite back at pundits, seems to be coming a regular thing with footballers and managers. I think they questioned why he wouldn't be right up for the biggest game of his career, that was all, it was an opinion rather than lies. I just find the whole players v pundits battle that's come into the game another reason not to enjoy football as much, it's all bit petty and pathetic.

As much as I dislike Gordon, I’m a bit torn on this occasion as pundits often talk such shit and do just theorize wildly to get headlines or to outdo each other for attention. People do give weight to what they say because they’re ex-pros and I think to counter balance the crap they talk I’d not mind more current pros telling them they’re chatting shite.Gash wrote: ↑Sun Mar 15, 2026 12:14 pm Gordon the latest thin skinned footballer to bite back at pundits, seems to be coming a regular thing with footballers and managers. No, they made up the fact that he specifically asked not to start (rather than simply being benched by the manager, which he was), and that he refused to shake hands with them but still went in the team dressing room (which he didn't).Gash wrote: ↑Sun Mar 15, 2026 2:41 pm I think they questioned why he wouldn't be right up for the biggest game of his career, that was all, it was an opinion rather than lies. The difference in composure between Illi and Dom on penalties is night and day. You never feel like Ndiaye is going to miss.
Re: Today's Football 2025-26
I agree though that pundits should either talk about the game they're watching or shut the fuck up.

Ref forgot he'd booked Gudmundsen and give him a yellow. Realised that now and had to show the red.
Looked gutted. You know he wouldn't have booked him had he already know that.
