Re: Euro 2024 Discussion

Watching an epic mountain stage at the Tour de France, cook some dinner and then settle in for the game at home with the missus. Looking forward to the game. Think England have a decent chance.

Re: Jarrad Branthwaite

I don't think we were ever going to sell him for less than £70-80m, even if Onana didn't move.

Re: Amadou Onana

He's quality, but it's a move that suits all parties. Dyche clearly doesn't want to build around him, Onana will be more than aware of that and will want to play and be valued somewhere, and Villa will get a really good player. He's not world class no, but that's an extremely high bar. To be world c...

Re: Euro 2024 Discussion

I don't think it's a farce at all, and loads of neutral people and even England-haters think it's a penalty

At most it's debatable, but not a farce.

Re: Euro 2024 Discussion

Yeah I didn't think it was a pen initially, but I do now.

Dumfries even apologised for the mistake (giving the pen away) after the match and didn't dispute it at all.

Re: Jaden Philogene

Can't imagine they could force him to sign for villa. How would they even decide on a contract if he had to go regardless No they can't force anyone to sign for anyone. The clause just guarantees that Villa the option to have their offer accepted, if they match the highest bidder. It would still be...

Re: Euro 2024 Discussion

Spain are good and will be favourites, but an average France side also showed they are very vulnerable in transitions and from set pieces.

Might actually help England psychologically to be 2nd favourites in the final, and not have the pressure to dominate the ball and the game.

Re: Euro 2024 Discussion

Much better interview from Bellingham as well. Much more self-reflective and less defensive.

Re: Euro 2024 Discussion

Well done lads. I'll give them some credit there. Had a lot of pressure on them, and they've pulled it through. And well done to Southgate for making the changes while the game was still in the balance, and not when we had to chase the game. I think they'll have a chance v Spain, and the Netherlands...

We need to stretch the pitch again. Make the change before you concede.

Re: Euro 2024 Discussion

Opening 10 minutes of the second half has been much stodgier despite Shaw coming on. Be a good game for TAA at RWB but not sure who you take off without changing the system, taking off Saka feels wrong. I think Watkins or Toney for Kane, and try to stretch them behind again. Now they have an additi...
