Re: Financial Fairplay Investigation - Charged again

4evablu wrote: Fri Feb 02, 2024 5:36 pm Did I hear that burk right ? Did he say we got it down to 2 million and that was the final decision that we admitted to?
I thought he said we disagreed with £2m which means even if they'd accepted that we'd have still been £17.5m over 🤷

Re: Dominic Calvert-Lewin

Likewise ye can’t put every chance on a plate for him just because been out injured… I don’t understand your point: A fully fit and firing DCL might have scored what, 3? He hasn't taken any... So we're providing low quality opportunities and he's not taking them which is no surprise Are you saying ...

Re: Dominic Calvert-Lewin

I slightly disagree there he does get chances created he just either doesn’t react to them or doesn’t take them. Beto got hammered on here for missing that header the other night yet DcL missed a similar earlier chance? I’d love to the stat of the number of balls we put into the box each game. His ...

Re: Dominic Calvert-Lewin

I know he's missed some chances but I think it's probably hard when you only create one half decent chance for him per game, and maybe only one clear cut chance every 5. Hardly allows a player to find their rhythm, especially after such a long time out and struggling probably physically with playing...

Yeah true but I mean how independent are they really?

Re: Financial Fairplay Investigation - Charged again

I don't see why the Premier League would give us any points back, there's absolutely no benefit to them to back down.

Only way we come out of this with anything positive is if the silk finds a way to make the whole thing completely unlawful and it gets thrown out completely.

Re: January Transfer Window

Then that's a good deal. In fairness I saw a headline saying dyche had said it was extremely beneficial for the club (or something like that) Honestly it's obviously our fault but I'm just sick of so many taking so much and contributing nowt. Can't wait for the likes of gomes ali and Holgate to sod...

Yeah amazing, must be very hard for him but he's still given his all every game. Great lad and stories like this really show what a player's character is really like.

Re: Beto

Yeah doesn't have much time if any to react... Think the importance of it makes it maybe seem worse than it was. I still think it's a bad miss tbf, but I wouldn't rate it as shocking. They also missed a great chance from 6 yards where their player headed it straight at Pickford that was probably equ...

Re: Ben Godfrey

I just cant see beyond a defender who isn't very good at lots of basic things like heading and passing the ball, reading the play. He's got qualities but just not enough to make it at the top level. Not his fault that he has landed at Disfunctional FC during the formative years of his career but no...

Re: Beto

You will be pleased to know I have decided to give him my full backing, I am now a paid up member of the Beto Support Club. Bad times don't last, and neither does career low xg underperformance. His xg underperformance is a direct reflection of his awful technical ability though, and that's not som...

Re: James Garner

Were those stats taken from the cup game against them? 🤣 It bares very little resemblance of what I saw last night, but I have been saying for ages he does loads that people don't pick up on because it's not exciting, like covering full backs out of position and getting vital blocks in. He was so su...

Re: Ben Godfrey

Fair play to him for stepping in and doing a job last night. We paid over 25 million for the lad and it has proven to be another poor decision. He's had bad luck but he just doesn't have the basic skills to go near to justifying that fee. More cripplingly poor recruitment. He had some really unique...

Re: Ben Godfrey

Godfrey is better for us in a back 3 than Keane, but in a back 4 I'd have Keane over Godfrey every time. Also Godfrey can't play RB, he wasn't playing it last night really, we seemed to have a hybrid 3-4-3 / 4-4-1-1 so it meant he wasn't really a full back... He's played RB before and has been shock...
