Re: Dominic Calvert-Lewin
In fairness not only should we be able to replace Doms goal tally and availability, but we should, for a fraction of the price we sell him for, actually improve it significantly. Goal tally yes, but he seemed to get over his injury woes last season so I think he'd potentially be a great asset for h...

Re: Euro 2024 Discussion
Spain really deserve to be in the final, they've been by far the best team throughout... Really don't fancy England's chances if we get through, will be a very one sided match.

Re: Jaden Philogene
Whether this one comes off or not I'm feeling cautiously optimistic about this coming season... We seem to have a much more cohesive transfer strategy and have shifted big earners off the books who didn't contribute whilst looking to replace with young hungry high potential players on far less money...

Re: Euro 2024 Discussion
Who we all supporting tonight then? I have France in our family sweepstake but the idea of potentially an England Vs France final, and it going down as the most boring final ever puts me off backing them. I'd rather Spain go through as it'd be a more interesting tactical battle if we get through, an...

Re: Jarrad Branthwaite
Absolutely nothing has changed here apart from the fact that we are now in a stronger financial position than when they first bid. We are now in a new financial year and don't have FFP issues to worry about. I get a horrible feeling though that they will be back and they will pay what we want for h...

Re: Euro 2024 Discussion
Yeah that was it, strange phrasing from Gareth, and I'm not sure it was based on reality either, given Pickford's opposite number didn't save any of their five and in many shoot-outs keepers don't save any of the first 5, moreso penalty takers actually miss the target. Not suggesting anything other...

I just read it as Phalange as in Phoebe's alternate personality Regina PhalangeEvertonian in NC wrote: ↑Mon Jul 08, 2024 8:06 pm Philogene is a fun name to say. It reminds one of "Philistine" and the pun potential is just fantastic.

Re: England National Team
But Kane looks physically fucked, and it's hindering the team. A mobile strike playing as a striker in this team would make a massive difference. I think if we used him correctly it'd help massively, but yeah I think the way he's trudging around we either probably do need to start Watkins or bring ...

Re: Euro 2024 Discussion
Divided loyalties in our Household now... Wednesday will be an interesting atmosphere with me and the boy supporting England, and the wife supporting Holland with the in-laws on messenger also supporting the Dutch. Going over in August for 11 days so hoping we can grind out a win against them so I'v...

Re: Euro 2024 Discussion
I thought Eze was great defensively given he's not a defender at all. He was great defensively in the last game too. I don't understand him being brought on instead of Gordon though, he's offered absolutely nothing going forward and given we have no pace in the team it's an odd choice over someone ...

Re: Euro 2024 Discussion
I just want some glimmer of hope we can go and win this, and we're in the semi final without even the tiniest bit. I feel very conflicted as we're in a winnable semi final yet I feel like we're a million miles away from being capable of winning this tournament 🤷 Maybe Southgate knows more than me, o...
