Which filters down to local football

And then nobody refs any more
Yeah massive shortage of refs for my area, coaches or parents have been having to step in and ref which is absolutely ridiculous.

Re: Thelwell talking strategy

Still wouldn't have Barkley here... He's had half a decent season in what 5+ years? He wouldn't fit in a Dyche team and his training has never seemed to be up to the Dyche levels required so would immediately fall out with the manager. His just being back at the club would be incredibly toxic becaus...

Re: Blues cards to be introduced then

https://www.telegraph.co.uk/football/2024/02/08/blue-cards-to-be-introduced-for-football-sin-bins/ Absolute hate this idea. Feels like something else for referees to use inconsistently and screw teams over with. 100% agree, not a fan at all... Feels the more they 'improve' the game the worse they m...

Re: Dyche

Harrison is probably the only lay-it-on-a-plate player bar McNeil that we have though, and is usually on the front post with deft chips into the front men. That and defending back into the middle and covering a fullback. Not an easy role for anyone. McNeil and Harrison do well from what I've seen. ...

Re: Our Captain Seamus Coleman

I'm just not sure how the explainer goes out to the kids that are watching that, a role model of behaviour. Can't wait til early morning Saturday kick-about. I coach kids and I can guarantee none will have picked up on anything there, and even if they did what are they going to do? Stare another ki...

Re: Dyche

Dcl was played right through the middle against villa..... he missed Such a rarity though, I'm with brap2 here to an extent. I think we create opportunities outside of set pieces but they're generally low quality or half chances. Slinging in the box for DCL to battle with 3 defenders while Harrison...

Re: Our Captain Seamus Coleman

Obviously the player has been giving it some before the corner so absolutely no issue with Coleman being all 'in your face dickhead' after.

Re: Dyche

Can't argue the numbers tbh but I really don't see it watching us. It's not a bad thing, it's very very good that we are so effective, I just worry that refs start calling the block as a foul or teams get a bit more wise. Anyway not sure what the discussion is, I'd be shocked if anyone felt *too* d...

Only heard one interview with Maddison but came across as an intelligent and articulate guy. Don't mind him one bit tbh.

Re: Dyche

I don't think anyone would remember a relegation as anything to do with Dyche tbh, we'd be 12th without the points deduction.

If we did drop it'd be remembered very much as being because we lost points due to mismanagement at owner and board level.

We create chances that aren't set pieces.

It's just we only seem to score from set pieces.

Got to be honest and say there's not a single thing I get excited about with Everton right now, I feel like I've been shot and I'm bleeding out desperately hoping the ambulance arrives in time.

Re: Financial Fairplay Investigation - Charged again

12 points, fined half a million quid and kicked out the FA cup for "financial irregularities" in the 80s. I was only 12 at the time, so had no real idea about the ins and out at the time. Sure the points deduction was reduced and they were allowed back in the cup (well, they deffo were as...

Re: Financial Fairplay Investigation - Charged again

Does anybody remember when Spurs had that points deduction? Year we won the FA cup I think - 95. Every published league table had a little asterisk after Tottenham Hotspur and then a little note at the bottom reminding everyone that the points on the board weren't reflective of their wins/draws. Do...

I thought he said we disagreed with £2m which means even if they'd accepted that we'd have still been £17.5m over 🤷
