Re: Financial Fairplay Investigation - Charged again

Forest fans seem to think that despite potentially being nearly twice over what we were on our initial charge that they should get a lesser punishment because: They only went over in one year not a three year period - failing to understand it's taken over 3 years so there's literally no difference, ...

Re: Financial Fairplay Investigation - Charged again

The worst thing for me is there's still no framework. 3 different committees. 4 if you count our appeal and each outcome could be completely different. There's not even a starting point then mitigation deducting some. We could find ourselves 20pts down for 28m over 4 years with mitigation while som...

Re: Financial Fairplay Investigation - Charged again

Excuse my ignorance, but what was this panel for and does it hold any influence in the decision making regarding our initial punishment and any further punishment for the second breach?

Re: Financial Fairplay Investigation - Deducted 10 points

Masters touched on the unfairness to fans but circumnavigated it by saying they have to think of all clubs fans not just the fans of clubs in breach !! Which would be a great answer if the super league 6 e leaving wouldn't have had an almighty effect on every single club in the English pyramid... a...

Re: Financial Fairplay Investigation - Deducted 10 points

Unfortunately I missed this, did anyone bring up the fact they didn't penalise the super league 6 because it would be unfair to fans, yet deducted us a ridiculous number of points for a far less crime, and the impact that has on fans?

Re: Financial Fairplay Investigation - Deducted 10 points

It's not that they want us gone. It's that we're being used as a pawn in their battle to avoid external regulation, for doing many of the same practices that other clubs have done (and doing less of it than a number of notable clubs), just before the rules change so that none of this would apply in...

From what I remember it's 1 point for every 5M you go over to a MAX of 12.

This was the figure the Premier league originally wanted.
I remember the 12 but thought that'd been debunked? Hard to know really because they seem to just make it up as they go along.

Re: Financial Fairplay Investigation - Deducted 10 points

Looking on the Forest forum they seem to think they've gone £35m over.

So that's what? £15.5m more than we did and got a 10 point deduction?

So what's that work out as? A 17 point deduction (I can't do the maths, if anyone else can I'd be most grateful)?

Re: Relegation

£9m breach, apparently Will be interesting to see how much Forest are over. I'd imagine £9m = 5 points deduction? If so we'll have been given a 15 point deduction for being a total of £24.5m overspend. If say Forest were £75m over or something ridiculous, would they get a 45 point deduction? Just g...

Re: Financial Fairplay Investigation - Deducted 10 points

Apparently lost a 200 million sponsorship due to Russian Ukrainian war. The fact that we haven't managed to secure a replacement at even half that price suggests we were getting fanciful with the accounts. Yeah and we wrote off twice as much as anyone else due to Covid, so not really a surprise the...

Re: Financial Fairplay Investigation - Deducted 10 points

Everything costs more than it did 3 years ago, some things like electric and gas, considerably more, but the theshold for complience stayed the same. No allowance for inflation, increasing interest rates, loss of revenue due to world wide events Same season punishment is very iffy because as is pan...

Re: Financial Fairplay Investigation - Deducted 10 points

Considering we're incompetent at everything else we do it's hard to believe we are not at fault re FFP. My overriding feeling is just sadness at our spectacular, but probably not undeserved, fall. We have been at fault for FFP, whether that's because we didn't understand what could and couldn't be ...

Re: Relegation

Imagine if we were deducted 20 points, stayed up AND won the FA Cup... Obviously won't happen but that would be the craziest season of all time. I'm not counting any further points deductions beyond the original ten point one though, as it's unknown at this point how we've breached the rules, the se...

Re: Dominic Calvert-Lewin

He's never been good at one v ones tbf to him, even in his best season I remember this was a criticism of him. Just needs an instinctive finish to get the goals rolling again, because that's what he's good at. For him a one v one is probably not the chance he needs to find his goal scoring form again.

Re: Beto

I think tbf to Beto, if we slipped him through with some actual through balls I would bank on him out muscling 90% of defenders and have a decent % of finishes that end up in the net. But he seems like he has such a limited skill set that if we don't do that (which we invariably don't) he's pretty u...
