I was going to say that this could become an annual thing like a birthday but it’s more like a quarterly event at the moment!

Re: Financial Fairplay Investigation - Deducted 10 points

In some senses it will almost be double jeopardy. It would partially be charging us twice for the same offence. Although it’s not over the same period, there could be one financial period in particular that would have caused both charges to be applied. Therefore should you be able to charge the club...

Re: Financial Fairplay Investigation - Deducted 10 points

We now have Andy Burnham and Mark Carney in our corner. They are 2 powerful figures.

If we are charged again, then we need to take all legal means at our disposal as a club and go after the Premier League, beyond that of the appeal. It would be a disgrace.

Re: Jarrad Branthwaite

To be honest I think there will only be a very small handful of clubs in world football that will be able to afford him. I don’t think he will be gone this season, and will probably be around for the new stadium. As a young lad, that would be exciting for him, and it wouldn’t surprise me if the club...

Re: Jarrad Branthwaite

If he goes it will be for a monumental fee so we will do well out of it.

And apart from that I would wish him nothing but the best and want to see him become the very best. Not sure I would care particularly where he goes as long as they utilise and bring out his full potential.

Re: Financial Fairplay Investigation - Deducted 10 points

Newcastle are frustrated because it’s now going to be almost impossible to bridge the gap despite being the richest club in the world. The top 6 teams have so much revenue already, that Newcastle still need to find another £150m revenue to get even. And how can they do that in the framework without ...

Re: 777 Partners Takeover

I can understand 1 negative story with 1 business perhaps being misunderstood or misreported on. But there seems to be several issues with several businesses with 777. You have to suspect and assume that something isn’t right, either from a financial perspective or a management perspective. Or both....

Re: Amadou Onana

What makes Onana worth half the amount that Caicedo was?

Can someone explain this with some numbers/stats?

Or are we just saying that Chelsea got a overpriced deal?

Re: Jarrad Branthwaite

We won't reinvest the money, nothing about 777 suggests they're here for anything other than make a profit when they sell down the line. They've invested £160m on top of any payments they'll make for the actual buying of the club, so they'll look to recoup that ASAP without further investment. Ther...

Re: Dominic Calvert-Lewin

Fair enough, at least common sense prevailed in the end.

However, the officials involved and VAR itself must be reviewed. For this to happen in the first place is scandalous.

Re: Amadou Onana

I would take McTominay in a heartbeat. Coming into his peak now, has a great attitude, and works hard. Also has quite a bit of quality.

Him and Garner could form a great partnership in the middle.

Re: Amadou Onana

It’s a particularly odd move for Arsenal and Onana. Rice and Odegaard will start for some time to come. Onana won’t be good enough to usurp them, for at least a year or two. I can’t see him wanting to go somewhere to sit on the bench knowing his character. He is a leader and wants to play. So unless...

Would highly prefer we keep him but if it’s between him and Jarrad, well it’s bye bye Amadou.

I didn’t watch any football this weekend after Thursday night. It was blissful.

Re: Financial Fairplay Investigation - Deducted 10 points

Forest have only £61m over 3 years to play with. £13m for each Championship season and a £35m loss for the season just gone. Unless they have broken even in the current accounts and excluding any impact from Covid, then they will surely fall foul of the rules. That is of course they are using some f...

Re: Financial Fairplay Investigation - Deducted 10 points

According to transfermarkt, their net spend in 2022/23 was -£190m and this season it is -£52m. Surely they have breached FFP. How can they get away with it with that much of an overspend? Even if you assume that revenue jumps by £100m or so by being in the PL, that spend doesn’t even include wages. ...
