Re: 777 Partners Takeover
I can still see a hybrid approach here and a consortium of those names (Bell/Downing), MSP and A N other. It would put us on the best financial footing, whilst providing some real experience in the boardroom. There aren’t many big PL clubs left to buy, and certainly none that are available right now...

Re: Dominic Calvert-Lewin
If you are DCL, you go from being the number 9 guaranteed starter every week to probably on the bench and not even in the squad. The only reason you would move is for money but I can’t see the contract offer from Chelsea being much more than ours for Dom. Perhaps I am wrong on both of those points b...

Re: Financial Fairplay Investigation - Further 2 points deducted.
We are on a par with Newcastle, Villa and West Ham in terms of size of the fanbase. They are big clubs and so are we. With the new stadium, you can only expect the fanbase to grow. And our social media presence should also grow with it. The opportunity set is enormous. Kids will want to visit the st...

Re: Jarrad Branthwaite
I want him to go. It’s a win win for him and us. Hopefully he will be here next season and his shoulders will be that little bit further back with confidence that an England cap will bring him. I really do think he will be here for another year and perhaps with the new stadium on the horizon, we can...

Re: 777 Partners Takeover
The £450m does present itself far more like equity, as there is no maturity date and no cost. It is effectively zero coupon perpetual debt with no call date. You would have to be privy to the covenants of the debt though to see what rights either party have for Moshiri to be able to call in that debt.

Re: 777 Partners Takeover
Doesn’t support his doom and everything is fucked narrative though No it doesn't. The actual reality is that we have now received merit payments from the PL, and so cashflow won't be an issue over the first half of next season. We may want to sell in the window to reduce the wage bill and/or cover ...

Re: Jarrad Branthwaite
I thought Jarrad was extremely comfortable last night. Apart from getting there a little late on a challenge, he had nothing to do other than pass the ball through the lines. There were also some really good performances by some of the newer lads like Wharton and Eze, and I think Konza is a very goo...

Re: Ben Godfrey
He's a terrible full back, he's so bad on the ball and offers absolutely no attacking threat... Also means the winger gets doubled up on and becomes completely ineffective too. We could sign a better CB too as backup and wouldn't have him above Keane anyway as third choice CB. Sell, 100% if people ...

Re: Summer Transfer Window Discussion
I thought Godfrey did quite well last year at RB. He is a really decent backup option, and seems to be doing well under Dyche. I was really impressed with how he covered the CBs and made some really crucial interventions. That's proper fullback work. He is going to be coming into his peak years now,...

Re: 777 Partners Takeover
Accountancy can be really complicated and so if you don't fully understand it, you can easily get things wrong. Personally, I hate it. I know as much as required for my job and that's it for me! I would have thought that the Esk should know that Bluesky capital is Moshiri and that it is effectively ...

Re: 777 Partners Takeover
All of the commentary I have heard on us from the media (Winter, Maguire, Jordan etc) have all been positive on us being sold to a proper buyer without administration. I still don't see how this won't be the case. As always, it gets left to the last minute to extract maximum value for the buyer. Mos...

Re: Jarrad Branthwaite
Or he may think if he has second season syndrome he might not get the chance next year. Although I don’t think that’ll be the case. 100% no chance. Jarrad will hopefully stay another year and then move to someone like City or Real. I do think he needs one more year with us anyway. His only slight w...

Re: 777 Partners Takeover
I hate the Bill Gates approach - he avoids paying taxes by putting his money into charitable foundations. Yes the work is good that they do, but the rest of us don’t get the choice to choose where our tax money goes so why do billionaires? I paid something like €70k of taxes last year, if we follow...
