Re: Jack Harrison

Nice lad, reliable (in terms of fitness) squad player, puts in a shift. Don't think I'll ever be a fan of him and felt like even Dyche had gone off him towards the end of last season. Gutted if he starts more than half the league matches next season. Unfortunately, he doesn't have any positive phys...

Re: Iliman Ndiaye

Reminds me of Pienaar in terms of his balance and tricky feet. I think we would like this chap.

Can't see him as a central striker. Looks more like a number 10 or playing off the wing.

Re: Dominic Calvert-Lewin

Not completely against him leaving if the price is right, but the question then becomes who replaces him. Is Minteh to be the main man up top, a Chermiti/Beto combo, or someone else? When fit and firing, DCL has been excellent for us, but he hasn't been able to stay fit enough for long enough withou...

Re: Summer Transfer Window Discussion

Fantastic work by Villa and Everton. Swapping two fringe youth players with similar level of experience and career prospects to get rid of FFP concerns.

Genuinely superb. And looks like Chelsea and Newcastle are both at it as well.

And there is nothing that the PL can do about it.

Re: Yankuba Minteh

But we still have to *spend* the money. PSR rules or no. It'll hinder us if we do deals for PSR reasons as opposed to affordability reasons Edit: The fact I can write that in all seriousness shows just how fucked the rules are as a concept Agreed, but you still have to be competitive and look to im...

Re: Summer Transfer Window Discussion

I wonder if Thelwell and Dyche have played the old “oh I don’t have much money / this is all I have” card to the media like you do at the market. But in reality, we do have a bit to play with? Just don’t get the sense in this transfer window that we are struggling like we were in the last few windows.

Re: End of Moshiri - Takeover Celebration Thread

The club can handle a decent chunk of debt long term and so it might be the aim to have £200m or so remaining on long term borrowing, especially if they can get that rate down to 7/8% or so.

Imagine they will try and issue a 20/30year bond at that rate - should be attractive to investors.

Re: Summer Transfer Window Discussion

It’s clear that ourselves and Villa have had a “very productive” conversation about players that need a change of scenery and FFP. You can be sure that Dobbin is likely to be on his way for a similar fee. That should take the pressure off from an FFP perspective and then it comes down to whether clu...

Re: Summer Transfer Window Discussion

You'd have to think Gana and Doucoure won't be with us much past this season, though. Get him in and either have him around the first team with sub apps here and there, or loan him out, like we did with Branthwaite, and play him the season after when those 2 will likely have moved on. The thing is ...

Re: Tim Iroegbunam

Young, athletic, decent tackle, and some good quality on the ball. Needs to beef up a bit and get stronger in the gym but I don’t see how you lose much money on this type of deal. Worst that could happen is that it doesn’t work out and you sell him for £3m-£4m to a Champ team. The best thing that ha...

Re: Jarrad Branthwaite

It’s nothing to do with United. He is worth what he is worth, and that’s near £80m, similar to Gvardiol. They either want to pay it or they don't.

If you can find the same talent for £35m elsewhere, then good luck. But I doubt that will be the case.

Re: Amadou Onana

Lukaku is too big. Look at him when he was at us, trim, fast, strong. When he went to United he bulked up and defo lost that edge. Am i imagining things when i think i read that he had a dietician at Milan, he has thyroid issues or something that was discovered, so they sorted a proper thorough pla...

Re: Jarrad Branthwaite

I mean it's beyond ridiculous isn't it. Selling under market value to the teams who have little to ever worry about ffp wise. Ffp could actually drive a team into administration. It does nothing to stop you getting into a mess and then when you're there it drives you further into it with loss of pr...

Re: Kevin Campbell

What he did for the club and who he was as a person make it very difficult to come to terms with his passing. Gone far too soon and far too young. He should have been telling stories of his Everton heroics for decades more. The history you made with Everton is set in stone Kev. No one can take that ...
