Re: Today's Football 2023-24

Apparently changing the direction the Lion is facing means it's now on the defensive not on the attack?

Looks shite either way.

So no Lions then. Mandela affect, or my faculties slipping. I know which is more likely.

Re: New Kit

The V neck one is going to end up being the kit, and the round neck one a training top or something hence the lack of sleeve sponsor.

Tbf, the one on the left isn't what I'd have picked out as the actual Stoke badge. I thought they had a fancy one with Lions or something like Coventry had Elephants.

Just feels like the same arguments that were put forward for why Dele would work out, and I'm not falling for it again.

Be made up with another ride on the loany pony tho.
As long as it's free like this year with no obligation to buy.

Top work that
Aye. Still something very weird about his time here and since though.

Re: Dominic Calvert-Lewin

Clearly the over riding factor is whether or not he’ll sign an extension- surely to fuck the Club know either way by now, so all this talk in the media would suggest (?) that he won’t, and we are therefore just trying to maximise the return And then buy solankie or Abraham Solanke's just got 20 goa...

In our financial position?
And our track record in recruitment?

Reckon that's a tall order myself
And it's an even taller order if you get nothing for him next summer.

Re: Dominic Calvert-Lewin

I don't want to sell him, but losing him for nothing next summer would be worse. We can't afford to be offering a 27 year old with availability issues a 4-5 year deal on top money, so not taking £20m this summer plus his wages for the year would mean this year would be like a £25m loan deal. He's no...

Re: Summer Transfer Window Discussion

Them prices seem absolutely mad. We were about 5 to 1 last season and that was coming off the back or an awful season. Yes we might lose Branthwaite but this time last year no one knew he was important anyway. Why would we be the same price as Ipswich. Maybe people betting on is going into administ...
