I could see it being a weird 1-1, where news comes through that City are winning 3-0 and Arsenal and their fans are totally deflated, or it might be the classic ''let's bum Everton 5-0 on the final day'' carnival atmosphere where Tomiyasu gets his first goal of the season, and everybody's lining up...

I don't think it's that surprising, he's been giving out mixed messages for months. I know people go on about their injuries but I reckon the players had idea something was going to happen and it's affected their performances for a while now. If it was going to happen then I'd have encouraged moves...

Based on this, what I would do is: 1. Bin VAR for now because as it stands, it's a clusterfuck of disappointment. 2. Take some time to think through what rules we want to/don't want to apply automated checks for. 3. Develop and test those automated checks properly, like they did with the goal line ...
