Re: Dyche

I agree with early pressure, but Goodison at least seems a lot louder when chances to equalise or lead occur later. (through relief)

I'm still not sure we defend a lead that well. Think we get complacent and withdraw.

Re: Dyche

Firstly we snatch at every chance because the situation is dire. The crowd were shitting it from the first minute it seemed and gave the team no atmosphere because of the desperate situation (no judgement in the fans, completely understandable). Inextricably linked. And I'm not sure sections of the...

Who's to say it wasn't his plan to frustrate and contain for 60 and then go for the win?

Nothing more vociferous than a whining, painful Goodison that turns into ecstasy, especially against these.

Re: Blues cards to be introduced then

More space for referees to bottle it and give 'larger' teams the lower rated caution. There's already too much disagreement around what's a yellow and a red. More conjecture, more discussion, more media, more dollars. Yet the supporters will carry the cost of the circus. Refeees just need to be able...

Re: Financial Fairplay Investigation - Charged again

The £19.5m overspend was after *a lot* of writing off due to unusual circumstances. The PL just got tired of the long list of excuses and drew a line in the sand. Yep, so how much is the 'right' amount? Huge leeway for accounting assumptions here that the PL probably couldn't challenge with any acc...

Re: Dyche

My point isn't about them not working hard though, I'm all about the Dyche train and what he has these players doing to keep us in games. But we don't have any players with any quality on the ball to create gilt edged chances. Maybe Gomes to an extent but playing him brings it's own set of problems...

Re: Financial Fairplay Investigation - Charged again

https://churchcourtchambers.co.uk/evertons-points-deduction-and-their-legal-path-ahead-yasin-patel/ It doesn't overtly state that we should win the appeal, but it certainly outlines why the punishment is ridiculously harsh and the multiple grounds for our appeal. It's a long piece, but just to quot...

Re: Dyche

Such a rarity though, I'm with @brap2 here to an extent. I think we create opportunities outside of set pieces but they're generally low quality or half chances. Slinging in the box for DCL to battle with 3 defenders while Harrison doesn't bother to get in at the back post is hardly the best way to...

Re: Financial Fairplay Investigation - Charged again

Not sure where this “misled” fans narrative has come from We’ve always admitted we broke the rules We’ve always said we were appealing against the punishment and not the being found guilty bit Reference was in the comments and further links on social media to the article, not in the article itself,...

Re: Our Captain Seamus Coleman

Obviously the player has been giving it some before the corner so absolutely no issue with Coleman being all 'in your face dickhead' after. I'm just not sure how the explainer goes out to the kids that are watching that, a role model of behaviour. Can't wait til early morning Saturday kick-about.

Re: Our Captain Seamus Coleman

Interesting! Im glad we arent being push overs. So many years of accepting shite from players on the pitch. Glad that Coleman is puffing out his chest and not taking it anymore. He isnt cheating, he isnt injuring players, he isnt even crossing the line!! But he is showing some grit. 💙 But it's all ...

Re: Our Captain Seamus Coleman

Oh sure I like to go think there's an element of gentlemanly conduct but Seamus isn't cheating, he isn't injuring anyone, he's just being aggressive and I can't fault that personally Cheating, deliberately injuring etc is LCD, he's got to be well above that given his image and that armband. Don't g...
