For this reason, can't get to BMD soon enough.

Re: Relegation

Just realized Ramadan is coming up soon during some very important fixtures. Is there actually evidence of players who are fasting performing worse or not so much? Worried about our midfield trio during Bournemouth, Newcastle, and Burnley. There have been studies done, and they seem to range betwee...

Re: Dele

That anyone thinks Sean Dyche and Big Kev would be risking big money on him is a bit funny really. I dare say they know a little more about the situation than we do. Nil transfer fee and either a low starting salary, heavily weighted assist or goal incentivisation, or pay per play, there'd be no ris...

Re: Financial Fairplay Investigation - Charged again

Maybe our legal team want to bare some teeth and go legal on the PL, which may well push any date beyond that of the end of season, kicking the can down the road a la City. If the PL are as incompetent as they look there might be arguments we have that need remedying.

Re: Beto

I think he's similar to Dom at the moment as far as likelihood of getting something on target, more likely to get difficult chances and/or something from nothing, and he commands his space better with lots of power and balance. Dom used to be better than he is currently showing, and would be on par ...

Re: Beto

I thought his touch and shielding of the ball was exceptional a couple of times early, and his introduction led to a couple of chances we otherwise wouldn't have got. Anyone that always shoots with the power he does is often gonna blaze over the bar, or if on target would send the ball (and keeper) ...

Re: Dwight McNeil

His ability to get back is lacking a little. Wish we had the depth not to need him for a few games.

Loved him somehow beating two of them that had him covered in close quarters on either side, and then crossing to back post for Doucs,... he's still got incredible close control and skill.

Re: General Transfer Thread

Jim Ratcliffe sounding very much like the door is open for Greenwood to return after his loan. Ratcliffe also wanting public funding for a new 'Wembley stadium in the north' (in Manchester of course  ). Maybe we should request redirecting some of those funds here considering it was the govern...

Re: Dyche

I hate how we play better when we go behind and then don’t do enough to take 3 points. Why can’t we start like that and get in front, instead of trying desperately for 80 minutes for a fucking equaliser? We play to the level of our opposition too much. When we play poorly it's often when we're agai...

Re: Dyche

I agree with early pressure, but Goodison at least seems a lot louder when chances to equalise or lead occur later. (through relief)

I'm still not sure we defend a lead that well. Think we get complacent and withdraw.

Re: Dyche

Firstly we snatch at every chance because the situation is dire. The crowd were shitting it from the first minute it seemed and gave the team no atmosphere because of the desperate situation (no judgement in the fans, completely understandable). Inextricably linked. And I'm not sure sections of the...

Re: Blues cards to be introduced then

More space for referees to bottle it and give 'larger' teams the lower rated caution. There's already too much disagreement around what's a yellow and a red. More conjecture, more discussion, more media, more dollars. Yet the supporters will carry the cost of the circus. Refeees just need to be able...

Re: Financial Fairplay Investigation - Charged again

The £19.5m overspend was after *a lot* of writing off due to unusual circumstances. The PL just got tired of the long list of excuses and drew a line in the sand. Yep, so how much is the 'right' amount? Huge leeway for accounting assumptions here that the PL probably couldn't challenge with any acc...

Re: Dyche

My point isn't about them not working hard though, I'm all about the Dyche train and what he has these players doing to keep us in games. But we don't have any players with any quality on the ball to create gilt edged chances. Maybe Gomes to an extent but playing him brings it's own set of problems...
