1 in 3.5 as opposed to DCLs 1 in 4 (1 in 3.8 for Campbell) and was rapid enough to ensure all teams had to play a deeper line than they'd have liked.

Also, @biziclop , can throw a Danny Cadamarteri onto the bench with Vaughan as well

Re: Best Everton PL English XI

I mean, I'll defend DCL in his own thread.

But what are you smoking to put him in over Tony Cottee?

https://twitter.com/ALANMYERSMEDIA/status/1762472123417743378?t=u2IOeRp9KHA_k2i_F6OQWg&s=19 This actually seems a fair and reasonable way of dealing with the whole "double jeopardy" thing. PL are quite arrogant though. You saw this with VAR - works well in rugby, Tennis and cricket, bu...

Re: New Everton Stadium at Bramley Moore Dock

I'm hearing people say the fan zone and pubs etc are open on non-matchdays. Anyone else got confirmation of that?

Re: Financial Fairplay Investigation - 4 Points Back

It absolutely can not be 6pts maximum. Newcastle would spend a billion and still be a champions league team each year with the points deduction I imagine this time even if the numbers are bad we will get consideration for wages and transfers trending the right way. They can't really punish a team d...

Re: Financial Fairplay Investigation - 4 Points Back

I think what people are getting at is, if it's 2 years from the EFL and 1 in the PL then you would think they would be tried under EFL rulings for those 2 and 1 for the year in the PL, which could of course mean a serious punishment. I don't see how they can justify the PL dishing that out for the ...

Re: Financial Fairplay Investigation - 4 Points Back

Quite a few people seem to be offering the fact Forest were in the football league for two of the three years as some kind of justification. Am I reading that right?

Because the rules are more stringent and it reduces the £105m significantly for each of the 3 years not in the prem.

Re: Financial Fairplay Investigation - 4 Points Back

I got my hopes up when i saw that double-jeopardy thing. But looking at the ruling - it doesnt say they are adopting football league regulations, it says that the points are more in line with football leagues (in a "this is the only comparable situation for how to decide how many points")....

Re: Financial Fairplay Investigation - Charged again

Nobody has been able to explain to me why we are being charged twice within the same season. Yes, I understand the charges are to do with a rolling 3-year period, but surely if we have been penalised for years ABC in 23/24, then we should next be penalised for years BCD in 24/25, and so on. No? So,...

Re: Financial Fairplay Investigation - Charged again

The way I see it, we're out of the relegation positions (for now) and if we get more docked by the end of April, if these get carried over to next season and not the end of this, then it could be worse. I'm hoping the players can kick on now and we get safe. Still smells fishy to me, but seeing 25 ...

Re: Financial Fairplay Investigation - Charged again

Also, this appeal puts to bed any chance of a 10-12 point deduction for the second charges.

One of the 2 successes in our appeal was pointing to 9 points being a maximum for going into administration.

Re: Relegation

Can we write to the league to let us play away from home every week? I'm utterly in the pro-Dyche camp and disagree vigorously with any suggestions to sack him. But the one thing that makes me think he is a short/medium term appointment at best is the fact he struggles at home against teams that do...

Re: Relegation

Liverpool and Villa to get results on the road next week and a West Ham side that won't sit back and remove our only game plan at Goodison?

Next week is going to be a disaster or the start of our climb away I think.
