Surely any club has the right to match any bid, anywhere. The final decision would still be up to the player. Doubtful. Seems Villa’s clause would restrict him from going to another clause if they match the price. Otherwise this clause would be meaningless and they would never include it in contrac...

Haven’t seen any credible sources reporting this. My guess is this is just his agent trying to get teams interested
