Makes the most sense for both parties.

He protects himself against his recent poor injury history. If we can keep him fit and supply him properly, I’d expect more suitors in January and we can get our money then.

Re: Summer Transfer Window Discussion

Looked crap in the euros too. Was really highly rated when he was at Southampton but that's about 3 years ago. He's done nothing since and had a serious injury. Plus he's had a payrise too. I think him and Phillips are the types that we've bought in the past. We can't be the club that gives the top...

Yeah, no fucking way for that price.

Re: Jesper Lindstrom

I think Dyche will opt to use him in one of the wide positions, because he's very hard working and very good at pressing. That makes the most sense. McNeil left, Lindstrøm right, Harrison for rotation (as he should be). Swerve Gnonto, much as I’d like to have him, and buy a good midfielder in the s...

Re: Summer Transfer Window Discussion

How low is the price for Broja? He’s not a great all-around CF but he’s got attributes Dyche likes to work with. There could be a deal to be had depending on how desperate Chelsea are to get rid. Soon to be 23, a few lost seasons doesn’t suddenly mean he’s cooked as a pro footballer. Would’ve expect...

Re: Kalvin Philips On Loan

Yeah, less and less into this. We have an old midfield group. Even if we loan him and he props that area up for a season, we walk into next season with 35 year old Gana, 32 year old Doucoure (both needing new contracts), maybe-he-improves-but-likely-he’s-completely-average James Garner, and the ques...

Re: Jesper Lindstrom

I think people just aren't used to having depth so these signings seem a bit weird. We essentially have brought in a couple of players who can play either wing or in the Doucs role, meaning we no longer have to flog McNeil and Doucoure to death, and have no way of playing if one or both is out inju...

Re: Jesper Lindstrom

He’s probably lost it now but once upon a time, Doucoure was much better playing deeper. Was a decent enough passer, good at arriving late in the box, you know about the work rate. Don’t necessarily see this as another Danjuma. Danjuma was a bit selfish and wasteful in attack in addition to not doin...

Re: End of Moshiri - Friedkin Purchase Falls Through

I know fan bases are becoming increasingly global but it’s ridiculous that supporters in a particular geographic area should simply hope that the right rich person (or group of rich people) buys the thing that is so important to their community.

Re: Summer Transfer Window Discussion

I feel sorry for Keggers. He's not a shit player and was decent when he first signed for us. That goal against Spurs too. However he's not mentally strong enough to be a starter for us, or probably any PL team now. But let's see what he's capable of with a move to a new team and a fresh start. Hope...

Prefer Gnonto to Lindstrom but Lindstrom still fits the profile we’ve been looking for.

Re: Beto

Depends on what you’re asking him to do. He’s definitely not a back to goal player. He won’t win or retain possession nearly as often as DCL with traditional target man service. Chermiti looks way ahead of him on that front. Get a creative three of McNeil-Ndiaye-Gnonto behind him and give him more s...

Re: Maups

I don’t see the tactical fit unless Ndiaye is some kind of indication that we’re looking to play fewer long balls to a centre forward with his back to goal and more througballs into space for the forward to run onto.

Not sure we have the midfield to support that kind of switch anyway.
