Re: Brighton v Everton

Guess it's the kind of game setup that generally suits us, so that's a reason to be cautiously optimistic. Brighton do seem to be on a bit of an upturn, getting some players back.

Hope we can pull of another away masterclass, but would happily take a point.

Re: Dyche

For me that was a terrible setup, team selection, use of subs and approach to the game and could've easily be served up by Benitez or Allardyce. No amount of post-event rationalisation is going to change that for me. I've praised him a fair few times this season, and acknowledged the circumstances h...

Re: Dyche

This fella will get chased, whichever division we're in, if we keep producing that sort of stuff.

My concern is that this is what long term with Dyche looks like. Lots of knackered players and players uninspired to attempt any football because of his messaging and his training.

Re: James Garner

I think part of it is maybe that he's a young English midfielder and people want to buy into it as a concept, and then they can't admit to themselves that the actual reality of it is jarringly bad. A bit like having Frank Lampard as a manager. Many of the same people bought into him as a concept and...

Re: James Garner

Not into anything about this lad. I'm hoping Frank Lampard gets a job somewhere and buys him off us.

Re: Financial Fairplay Investigation - Charged again

So it would seem reading that Forest were £17.5m over if the sale of Johnson was the reason they didn't meet PSR, as otherwise the argument of holding on for more money is irrelevant. If that's the case they'll receive a lower deduction than us for £19.5m you'd imagine, or at worst more or less the...

Re: Dyche

Same. Unforgivable. Mumbling some dross about it being difficult to play against a team with a new manager.

You literally couldn't have played a more vulnerable team with their injuries, in between managers and dreadful form.

Re: Financial Fairplay Investigation - Charged again

Disgrace. It's almost more of a slap in the face if it's only 2 points back. Would love to see the breakdown in the report if it's true. I mean I'm guessing and could be wrong. He might've just seen that tweet that said we're getting 2 point back, which may/may not be a wind up. But you wouldn't be...

Re: Financial Fairplay Investigation - Charged again

Carragher saying he thinks we're getting 2/3 points back, sounding suspiciously like Sky probably know what's happening.

Re: Dyche

Not sure what's happened to us. It's never been pretty, but first half of the season we were getting lots of attempts on goal and pressing like demons. Not sure if confidence has evaporated, but you've simply got to offer more than ''Jordan and Tarks are going to smash long balls into the corners, a...

Re: Financial Fairplay Investigation - Charged again

I can't imagine any official/plausible document contains the phrase ''and so the deed was done''.

It's probably Chico or summat.

Re: Today's Football 2023-24

Luton do a great job of getting most teams into a tough game.

One of the biggest disappointments of our relegation battle, for me, is that I can't properly root for Luton to win games. Rob Edwards is doing a great job.

I think we all know that it would be the game that both relegates us and wins them the title.
