Re: Thierno Barry

We've just won 3 out of our last 4, with him being an integral part of how we play. Why can't we keep doing it? Fair point. I just think that over a season the amount of influence he's had in the last few games will still not be enough to justify him being first choice. Because of the lack of optio...

Depends how marginal the improvement.

Re: Thierno Barry

This thread just proves there are plenty that just don't want the time dedicated to developing a young player with potential. We saw it with DCL, Keane, even Lukaku ffs! There is absolutely enough evidence to show he's worth persisting with, and he's getting better with every game. We're not in a p...

Re: Thierno Barry

He's getting a lot of credit for two or three touches per game that do little more than find a teammate.
Not only has he failed to score but he's had little involvement in settling up goals for others.
Nowhere near ready. Replace Beto in January and give Barry the sub role.

I'm afraid it's gone well beyond the scenario of as soon as he gets one he'll be fine.

Re: The waiting list

I'm wary of just how big these waiting lists are in reality. Plenty of people on them won't always take up the chance when it comes.
If we had that many people with no prospect of going to a game for years to come, every home cup tie, however unappealing, would be a sellout.

Re: Manager Merry-Go-Round

Two things that seem common to all managers. Whatever money they are on is never enough and the belief that no job is beyond them.

If you've got the time to dig deep into the press and social media you'll find that Liverpool had a goal disallowed yesterday.

Re: David Moyes

Can't expect anything more than mid-table with this squad. In fact I'd say the squad is so toothless that I doubt the transfer committee have much of a plan for any kind of coach. Plod on while mid-table is still attainable. After all what's another couple of seasons on top of the last quarter of a ...

I'm not sure what type of manager insists on a slow squad with barely a goal in them.

Re: Thierno Barry

I think too much is being made of the sub. He got 5 minutes short of an hour, was on a yellow and showing signs of that miss getting to him. Maybe he realised that the whole game was an opportunity missed to start to turn the corner. As long as he's picked as starter for the weekend I don't see it a...

Re: Thierno Barry

Definite improvement from Barry but he's still way off being any kind of threat to most defences. Even in the build up to the big chance he missed he nearly lost all momentum from the attack. Despite that I think Moyes has to realise that Barry is just as likely to score as Beto and still has time o...

Watching Martin O'Neill grandstanding as Celtic boss for the next month or so is going to be excruciating.
