Re: Financial Fairplay Investigation - 4 Points Back

Until we get more information, it is impossible to judge anything at this stage on the second charge as we have no idea why we have been charged or the severity of the charge. It's certainly not to do with transfers. I really don't understand how we have failed FFP again if the stadium project fall...

Re: Financial Fairplay Investigation - Charged again

Happy enough with that. Thought we’d be fine with the 10 points anyway. Hopefully get a win on Saturday and get a bit of positivity round the place. Yea a win Saturday probably puts us 8 clear, potentially up to 13th in the table. Would be a big boost for the final run in and hopefully we can get c...

Rumours of 12pts for them
A further 6 for us

12 will kill them
It sounds like we got ours reduced because 9 pts is the penalty to administration so I can't imagine it'll be 12.

Max would be 8 pts.

Re: Financial Fairplay Investigation - Charged again

So... Any chance we can have an explanation as to why we received 10 originally and how they've come to 6 this time? Happy to have some back though, changes things a bit... Let's hope the second charge doesn't equal the same amount again as that would just plunge us in to the relegation zone. Only ...

Re: Financial Fairplay Investigation - Charged again

Would be happy with 4 points back and ideally the same charge or less than Forest for the second.

Obviously would want all 10 but think 4 puts us in a good enough spot to survive even if we face another deduction.

This is more related to referreing in general and the differences in sports. Hockey has decent refs and I love stuff like this after a review:

Re: Dyche

Young making 17 passes total and most back to Godfrey is insane. He looked so old against Palace honestly.

I'm not a big Harrison fan but got to start him every time over Young.

Re: Relegation

Dobbin could barely get a start in league 1...

I dont see him making the step up to be a regular contributor and the only reason he's here is because our squad is wafer thin.

Patterson I remain unconvinced as well but can see the argument to play him.

Re: James Garner

I just don't see another level for him. He looks like a good championship/bad premier league player. He can't pick up the ball off the back 4 and turn upfield. It's all playing the ball back to the CBs or out to the fullbacks. It's a key difference that Onana brings, along with the ability to carry ...

Re: Today's Football 2023-24

We're paying Holgate £75k a week until the end of next season...

I'd honestly be shocked if we were able to loan him out at this rate. Maybe a mid table championship side would take him but chances of them paying more than 10% of his wages are effectively 0.

Re: Today's Football 2023-24

How has Kompany not been sacked yet?

They are atrocious, give themselves no chance against most teams the way they set up.

Could be bottom soon with Shef Utd at home vs Brighton coming off a big win.

Re: Today's Football 2023-24

Palace didn't look bad there but lacking quality overall.

This will be a tough defeat to then come up and play us, hope we can capitalise on it and score and early goal.

Re: Relegation

Absolutely no reason to believe Luton are safe. They have been on a good run but have tough matches coming up. It's not like their 8 points clear.

An injury or two to key players, some tough matches and they're likely right back in trouble.

Remember when he sarcastically called Kieran Gibbs a hard man? That was great. Best part of Covid football was hearing those interactions on the field.

Re: Relegation

We have plenty of winnable games coming with Doucoure and Onana to return soon. Fixture list has made it look a bit rough but 5 of our last 7 are against probably the 5 other worse teams in the league. After this weekend we have three very winnable games and Luton are up against United, Liverpool, a...
