Re: James Garner

I just don't see another level for him. He looks like a good championship/bad premier league player. He can't pick up the ball off the back 4 and turn upfield. It's all playing the ball back to the CBs or out to the fullbacks. It's a key difference that Onana brings, along with the ability to carry ...

Re: Today's Football 2023-24

We're paying Holgate £75k a week until the end of next season...

I'd honestly be shocked if we were able to loan him out at this rate. Maybe a mid table championship side would take him but chances of them paying more than 10% of his wages are effectively 0.

Re: Today's Football 2023-24

How has Kompany not been sacked yet?

They are atrocious, give themselves no chance against most teams the way they set up.

Could be bottom soon with Shef Utd at home vs Brighton coming off a big win.

Re: Everton v Crystal Palace Mon 20:00

I mean not great timing. Sure he won't implement new ideas as he'll take training for 2 maybe 3 days at most. But there is likely a boost for the players with a new man coming in, trying to impress, etc. They are missing some big players so we should still be looking to win and if Doucs is back I'd ...

Re: Today's Football 2023-24

Palace didn't look bad there but lacking quality overall.

This will be a tough defeat to then come up and play us, hope we can capitalise on it and score and early goal.

Re: Relegation

Absolutely no reason to believe Luton are safe. They have been on a good run but have tough matches coming up. It's not like their 8 points clear.

An injury or two to key players, some tough matches and they're likely right back in trouble.

Re: Our Captain Seamus Coleman

Remember when he sarcastically called Kieran Gibbs a hard man? That was great. Best part of Covid football was hearing those interactions on the field.

Re: Relegation

We have plenty of winnable games coming with Doucoure and Onana to return soon. Fixture list has made it look a bit rough but 5 of our last 7 are against probably the 5 other worse teams in the league. After this weekend we have three very winnable games and Luton are up against United, Liverpool, a...

Re: Maups

What'd we pay? £12M?

3 year deal so down to £4M as the cost on the books. Should be able to sell him for at least that and maybe book £2M-£4M profit next summer which will be nice. Maybe won't have to sell the other half of the academy.

Didn't he leave with a proper billy big bollocks attitude like he was going to the very top?
We would have got a fee via tribunal or negotiated because of his age.

Likely a couple million or so.

Re: Relegation

100% entirely boils down to the appeal now for me. I'll hold my hands up and say I should have listened with regards to Luton. They're a very well coached side and will coast the 2nd half of the season. They've got Sheff United next week where as we have City. You're looking at them being 6 points ...

Insane pressing/energy for a 34 year old.

Also largely better on the ball than he's given credit for.

Re: New Everton Stadium at Bramley Moore Dock

Or in simple terms you don’t own your own house until the mortgage is completely paid off. You do own the house though. There's just debt on it. The stadium will be an asset on our balance sheet with debt as a liability. If we don't pay the terms of the debt the senior lender who has taken the stad...

Re: Jack Harrison

As we'd heard from Leeds fans, he seems to disappear for games at a time and occasionally has a good game. He doesn't seem to link well with anyone which is concerning for me as he's not talented enough to create things on his own. That being said, he has been involved in a goal/assist every 3 games...
