Re: General Transfer Thread

Excellent piece of business that by Palace. Very cheap, championship performance tends to transfer well to the prem.

Re: End of Moshiri - Friedkin Purchase Falls Through

I can only think that due to the on-going lawsuit with A-Cap, paying off the debt is complicated or not possible immediately. There would be ways around that but I also wonder if Friedkin is hoping to get a discount on that debt given the current situation with 777 and A-Cap. Might need Moshiri to r...

Re: End of Moshiri - Friedkin Purchase Falls Through

I think this makes any sort of deal at all unlikely.

Hard to know the exact issue with the 777 debt but I do suspect it's not something that can be easily resolved or quickly.

Moshiri is a clown.

Re: Wilfried Gnonto

Still think we need to sort out the right back issue. Gnonto probably can cause trouble on his own with his pace and dribbling but he likes to drift inside a bit so would be good to have a RB who can take advantage and overlap. Overall would be happy, very young still and something we lack in the sq...

Re: Amadou Onana

Lavia went for £50m and he's not half as accomplished as Onana. Not sure what the add-ons or sell-on fee look like but might give us an extra couple million over the next few years which is ok. Oh well, only player in the team that could pick the ball off the defence and turn upfield through the mid...

Re: Amadou Onana

Worth at least £60m and probably more honestly but oh well.

More Jimmy Garner next season I suppose.

Hope we reinvest well.

Re: Today's Football 2023-24

I dont think they really did much wrong here. The US was not prepared for this type of stuff and didn't have sufficient security in place

Re: Today's Football 2023-24

Lost 2-0. Difference in ability really showed at times. Overall not a bad game - created some chances and didn't let Argentina control the game. I think we saw some issues with how Marsch set his teams up with such a high line. I think we will do well against the weaker teams in Concacaf but it migh...

Re: Dominic Calvert-Lewin

I can understand him wanting to move on. Better for him to tell us now he isn't signing a new contract so we can sell him. We might end up keeping Onana and Branthwaite afterall. I do worry about what we look like without DCL but good chance to bring in a new striker and probably a winger with the f...

Re: Today's Football 2023-24

Yes, James with a goal and 2 assists yesterday.

Wand of a left foot. Colombia through to play Bielsa's Uruguay in the semis who beat Brazil on Pens.

Terrible Brazil team, and the match itself was very aggressive, bad tackles and not much quality on display.

Re: Euro 2024 Discussion

Lack of pace and width is killing England. You'd be better off with Gordon out left and Watkins up front despite Kane and Foden/Palmer being better individual players. There's no driving past players down the line or running in behind to create space for those in the middle. Saka is by far the best ...

Re: Today's Football 2023-24

Canada advances to the semi finals of the Copa America to play Argentina. Tied Venezuela 1-1 and won on penalties. Should have probably won by 2 or 3 but poor finishing and our keeper getting chipped from 40 yards by Soloman fucking Rondon meant we had to go through penalties to win. Abysmal referee...

Dribbler for sure which we lack in the squad.

Huge fan of the low socks/small shinnies as well. We were missing that with Davies gone last season.

Re: Iliman Ndiaye

I wonder if with him signed we send Chermiti out on loan.

I know he's more of a 10 than a 9 but I wonder if we see him as a third option there if needed.

Would be valuable for Chermiti to get regular minutes and I can't see it happening here currently.
