Re: Arsenal v Everton
Just goes to show how ineffective the system is... Ref gives the goal, VAR say 'hold on that looks like handball to us, you better go have a look', ref looks and decides to ignore VAR and give it despite the very obvious handball. If it's as clear as that then why is the ref going to the screen? VAR...

Re: Dyche
I think overall he's done fantastically well... A 48 point season despite unprecedented chaos behind the scenes and throwing away the first 4 games playing Dobbin and Maupay because we didn't bother to sign anyone is pretty remarkable. We're a largely shit team and yet we would have finished 12th wi...

Re: Arsenal v Everton
Just didn't wanna be unpopular at Arsenal on the final day. That's what it comes down to. Weak as piss. Andy Townsend now talking about how over a full season only 2 points separated the top 2 teams... And that's exactly why it was given as a goal. So much better for the premier league product to h...

Re: Arsenal v Everton
My word that was a ball from a player who's been playing top level footy for 20 years and thinks it's ok to play that type of pass... Unbelievable.
Definitely handball though so don't see this standing... Oh no good old VAR perfectly fine to handball it as long as your one of the top teams.

Re: Summer Transfer Window Discussion
Replacing Doucs is hard because of how much ground he covers off the ball, he somehow manages to be properly part of the midfield three but then also right up alongside DCL all game - not sure Maupay could manage that No he couldn't, but if we played more of a 4-4-2 then it'd be an alternative whic...

Re: VAR and is there a way to fix it?
I've always been in favour of scrapping it, but the standard of officiating this season has been so bad I'm not sure it's even feasible to put full responsibility on this current crop of refs. Maybe their standards have dropped because they're relying on VAR so much, but there needs to be a big impr...

Re: Summer Transfer Window
Split the posts from @PoD1878 thread to here. In other news: https://twitter.com/talkbees_/status/1791461251714793952 We don't have any money and seemed to play Doucoure almost alongside DCL for parts of the season... Wouldn't be against him being a rotation option for Duke if we can't shift him. L...

Re: New Kit
Nothing iconic but I really liked what Hummel did with us. Can't say I'm a big an of us moving to a manufacturer that Villa as a club complained about this season. James in a Hummel Everton shirt is pretty much etched in my brain, was something special even if it didn't last. Also Richy playing in ...

Re: Summer Transfers 2024-25 Season
That's great news on Gana. Totally pissed off young might be here another year. My main issue with Young staying another year isn't how horribly shit he is, but every commentator reminding us every single game for another whole year that he made his debut for Watford whilst Dyche was still on the p...

Re: Thelwell talking strategy
He genuinely wouldn't get in Leeds' starting XI. If we're paying money for him outright then we're being ripped off at more than £15m and even at that I feel like we're still being ripped off. £5m would be acceptable, £10m would be overpaying, £15m would be an abhorrent use of what limited funds we...

Re: Thelwell talking strategy
I think it’s either a loan or nothing for Harrison. Gana was the main one to tie down so that’s great news. I think KT will be hoping that we can survive one more year with the squad we have minus a potential sale of Onana. A successful window means making a profit via Onana, reducing the wage bill...
