Heard about that today, horrible for the supporters and just goes to show how bad owners can destroy a club... Can't quite believe we've not ended up like that (yet) given the utter incompetence and corruption we've had under Moshiri.

Re: Jesper Lindstrom
I think both are and both could be used wide when required and Doucoure can be dropped deeper too so one can play centrally.
Options are a good thing my friend, but it does seem that we are still missing a bonafide right winger unfortunately.

Re: Kalvin Philips On Loan
Could argue that's what Moyes does and he got fuck all in return Yeah but he brought him in halfway through a season where his confidence was rock bottom and his match fitness zero. You need to get him in over the summer and build both up ready for the season beginning and then allowing him time to...

Re: Kalvin Philips On Loan
Philips went from being a success at Leeds and England to being told by Pep he wasn't good enough. I'd imagine that's very damaging to confidence, and the lack of game time massively affected his fitness levels. The player at West Ham wasn't the real Kalvin Philips, it was a version with absolute ro...

Re: Summer Transfer Window Discussion
We need a right back badly he isn’t going to play Patterson and young and Coleman aren’t good enough for starting 11 anymore no point getting good wingers if they don’t have cover and overlapping players to play with Personally, and I've been pretty critical of Patterson previously, I think it's ti...

Re: Jesper Lindstrom
Depth is great but you should have a complete first team first. But you can't address all the issues in one window. We have Patterson for right back, time to give him his chance. Cover is Seamus and Young. We do need a backup LB though. We also need a CM (potentially Philips on loan). We don't real...

Re: Jesper Lindstrom
I think people just aren't used to having depth so these signings seem a bit weird. We essentially have brought in a couple of players who can play either wing or in the Doucs role, meaning we no longer have to flog McNeil and Doucoure to death, and have no way of playing if one or both is out injur...

Re: Summer Transfer Window Discussion
Of which 150m-155m was to pay off the MSP loan. So actually, they’ve only added 45-50m in cashflow (to keep the lights on) for overhead expenses and normal outgoings, not for squad reinvestment. They can't give us money for squad investment anyway, no one can... We have to sell to buy or we'll fore...

Re: Summer Transfer Window Discussion
Yeah as long as we don't need to sell to keep the lights on then player trading shouldn't be affected. Friedkin apparently put £200m in so there shouldn't be any need to use player sales for anything other than reinvestment in the playing squad.

Re: Beto
But you said we’d need to change our style and he’d need to score 15 minimum. I feel like you’re describing how we play with DCL. Haha yeah, I'm not sure how that would look in all honesty but it'd involve sacrificing some defensive solidity and so he'd still need to score more to compensate for th...

Re: Beto
Can you explain why he’d need 15 goals minimum for it to be worthwhile him starting? I’m not even debating it I’m just very curious how this makes sense? It’s only really Douc that scored outside of DCL so it’s not like we’d be sacrificing 20-30 goals from midfield by playing Beto. Because we'd con...

Re: Beto
I honestly believe, by hook or by crook ,if he got DCL’s minutes last season there would be more goals. The lad needs a run of games and with decent service. As has been said before though, scoring the same or slightly more goals than DCL wouldn't make up for the deficiencies he has that would have...

Re: Beto
If we go in to the season with our main option being a guy who repeatedly showed he wasn't anywhere near the standard required we'll be in big trouble. It's a struggle to even advocate for him as adequate back up to a main striker he was that bad. Yes a full pre season might help him a bit, but it w...
