Nah, in less than 20 years time capacity will have been increased to 60 odd thousand and will be one of the Main stadiums for the 2034 World Cup after Saudi Arabia’s bid is fucked off.

I seem to remember the black strips are to try to mimic the designs of the windows in the surrounding brick buildings of the dock, and in particular the Tobacco Warehouse, or something like that. I thought it looked better when they were more window-like in the early phases of the build, but I thin...

The uneven repeated black blocks between the brickwork looks ugly to me, would look much better if it was just all brickwork.
