Needs must I suppose, if you have no idea if you will even be able to make any significant signings just hang on to squad players at a reduced wage, clearly there wouldn’t have been negotiations if we were offering him the same wages.

One thing I don't get is why Middle Eastern owners are necessarily worse than US consortiums and hedge funds owning clubs in the eyes of fans?
