Re: Lowest Manchester United Finish...

Mourinho's time at United is being reassessed higher and higher with every passing season. They really do look a mess although I'd settle for 8th if it was our worst finish in 34 years to be fair.

Re: Arsenal v Everton

If Brentford had won that decision would have cost us £3million quid that we can’t afford to lose. Yeah, I don't disagree but the fact Brentford lost and City won means a draw or an Arsenal win made no difference to where anyone finished in the table. That is absolutely in no way to defend a shocki...

Re: Arsenal v Everton

That's another Var shocker. It won't get the attention it deserves because in essence it didn't count for a lot in terms of the season as City were home and hosed by then and the coverage will focus on City and the departure of St Jürgen. But, just imagine if West ham had pulled off an absolute mira...

Re: Arsenal v Everton

City are two up. Arsenal really do have nothing at all to play for in reality despite what they might tell themselves.

Weird game now it's essentially a dead rubber for both sides.

Re: VAR and is there a way to fix it?

The trouble with it is everyone would be happy if it just corrected clangers and left the really really marginal and debatable alone rather than delaying the game for 5mins for a half inch offside decision. The problem is it doesn't always correct the clangers. The Luton pen v Wolves when it clearly...

Re: Manager Merry-Go-Round

There's a real ceiling in the PL these days. Villa have wildly overperformed and Emery deserves credit but if you look at West Ham in 9th and then the clubs below, which of the others in that top 8 could you realistically expect any of the bottom 12 to finish above? City, Arsenal, Lpool, Spurs, Chel...

Ha! That is the first time my writing has ever been compared to James Joyce!

I'll be very very surprised if it isn't the last as well.

Re: Arsenal v Everton

Yep. Want an Everton win. Want City to continue to hoover up titles with the 115 charges hanging over them so the constant financial doping shouts from the others will get even more intense and bitter and so, in the extraordinarily unlikely event the PL do anything about City's spending it makes a c...

*payout is 1500, you get your wager back.
American odds are fine until you get to betting odds on and then there are absurdly complicated.and become minus numbers that don't add up to the payout. Bizarre then.

Re: Manager Merry-Go-Round

In general, international management is terrible preparation for a club job. No day to day management, no contracts to worry about, no budgetary pressures, a plethora of massively inferior sides to play. Add on to that he's Gareth Southgate and the only thing you could say is the last 2/3 years have...

Shoehorning this in a bit but my favourite Callum Wilson fact is he is the same age (to the exact day) as Jonjo Shelvey. That does not feel as though it should be right at all.

Villa sold Villa Park to themselves to avoid penalties when they were struggling.

This is so true. He scored one of the best goals I've ever seen against us and hasn't threatened to do anything remotely close to it since.
