Re: Ben Godfrey
The levels make a massive difference too in terms of positions. Someone who could play in midfield in league two or the national league would look a mile off it in the PL. I watched Des Lyttle play non league football in his mid 30s and he looked like Andrea Pirlo compared to some of his opponents. ...

Re: Today's Football 2023-24
Now if Forest get a point or two back on appeal (and I have absolutely given up on the pretence that that process follows any rules or logic) then that might upset the apple cart a bit.

Re: Today's Football 2023-24
I have a funny inkling Burnley might get a result at home to Newcastle. Newcastle are massively inconsistent and I really think if Burnley can keep within a couple of points going into the last day they'll beat Forest at Turf Moor. 1 defeat in 7 now for Burnley so they are in the best form of the th...

Djokovic is a good comparison for these. You have to admire the skills but you'd rather watch Federer.Bluedylan1 wrote: ↑Sun Apr 28, 2024 1:43 pm They're very good. Just a bit mechanical for me, not much beauty.
They're like Djokovic.

Re: Dyche
He wasn't my dream appointment but if we are judging managers by results then the way he has outperformed the previous two deserves massive credit as his squad has been weaker and the FFP deductions which were absolutely nothing to do with him were another massive handicap. With no financial respite...

Re: Today's Football 2023-24
Whichever one of Leeds or Ipswich doesn't flop over the line is going to have a hell of a job winning the play offs. I don't think they are particularly good but I keep thinking West Brom will probably win the play offs and briefly visit the PL for another season or two.

Re: ALL THE HULLABALOO OVER FOREST "3 PENS"
Imagine if Burnley got away with a dodgy VAR pen shout to leapfrog them on the last day. I've never had twitter but I'd join it and follow Forest just to see what happened.

Re: Relegation
I think we'll be fine but a Burnley win at Old Trafford which isn't the most outrageous suggestion given some of United's performances this season might make the Forest v Luton equation a bit more complex. If Burnley can be within a couple of points going to the last day, they are at home to Forest ...

Ha! Don't think I could stomach the whole thing but I might pick up the series after the League Cup final. Been enjoyable since then!Deano Blue Boy wrote: ↑Thu Apr 25, 2024 1:59 pm I might actually watch their documentary now of their final season with Klopp.

Re: Liverpool being bellends
Not saying they're a massive cult but this club genuinely tried to say Darwin Nunez was better than Erling Haaland He was almost as effective as our centre halves in breaking up their attacks yesterday. He's underachieved since being there but it looked a couple of months or so ago that he was star...

I'm not a huge fan of globetrotting friendlies particularly but bloody hell there are bigger problems the FA could be putting their mind to.

No, they've gone up via the play offs (most recently 2018) at least a couple of times and come back down but never won the league before.

Imagine them winning it at a stadium you shared with them as well. Always been amazed how they do that in Milan and Rome.

Re: Financial Fairplay Investigation - Further 2 points deducted.
Without going down another rabbit hole, given there are no precedents on points deductions for PSR/FFP prior to this season, given no actual guidelines have been published, given that all three deductions have produced different outcomes, I absolutely don't understand how any subsequent commission e...
