NSNO's poll, how do you think Everton will do against the Baggies?

Corriere dello Sport is reporting that Juventus midfielder, and flop, Tiago, has rejected a move to Everton, citing a move to Spain as his preferred choice.

Tiago failed to impress in his last spell in England, and it is reported that he is unwilling to try again in the Premier League despite Juventus being keen to get rid of him.

The Liverpool Echo is reporting that talks to bring Alan Smith to Goodison Park are still ongoing.

Talks were believed to have broken down after Kevin Keegan asserted that the player was not leaving, but the Echo claims that along with discussions with Stephane M'Bia and Joao Moutinho, the Blues are still in with a chance of bringing Smith to the club.

Everton have confirmed the appointment of Steve Round as the club's new assistant manager.

Round, 37, had been working as a coach with Newcastle and has previously worked for the England national team and Middlesbrough.

Speaking to the Everton website, Round revealed that as soon as he'd spoke to manager David Moyes, his mind was made up regarding his future.

Round said: "Once David asked me, and I met him, it was a definite.

"He sold me the club; he sold me the ideas; he sold me how he was moving it forward and how he wanted to take the next step.

"I said I would definitely come and here we are."...discuss this on the forums
