NSNO's poll, how do you think Everton will do against the Baggies?

Corriere dello Sport is reporting that Juventus midfielder, and flop, Tiago, has rejected a move to Everton, citing a move to Spain as his preferred choice.

Tiago failed to impress in his last spell in England, and it is reported that he is unwilling to try again in the Premier League despite Juventus being keen to get rid of him.

The Liverpool Echo is reporting that talks to bring Alan Smith to Goodison Park are still ongoing.

Talks were believed to have broken down after Kevin Keegan asserted that the player was not leaving, but the Echo claims that along with discussions with Stephane M'Bia and Joao Moutinho, the Blues are still in with a chance of bringing Smith to the club.

Everton are working hard to find a legal way in which to tell Newcastle United exactly where to get off as the Geordies try and keep hold of a coach who is no longer under contract to the club.

Newcastle want compensation over an option they have failed to activate in his contract which extended his deal by a year at St James' but Everton are preparing to fight them all the way.

"There is an issue over an option on the contract and the clubs are in ongoing discussions over a solution," someone at Everton said yesterday.

"We believe it is something that can be sorted out to allow the appointment to be made."...discuss this on the forums
