	One more sleep

Article	I'm like a kid at Christmas, and I have been all week long, counting down the "sleeps" before the Cup Final. I'll admit it's been a bit more complicated as I've been working nights, and technically I actually have two more "sleeps" before the final, even though it's Friday. Nights does odd things to the mind! But aside from bizarre sleep patterns and strange sleep-deprived thoughts, it's been an exciting week to be an Evertonian. The papers have been full of us, every player has been interviewed about the final and has come out with the Everton mantra that we are there on merit (which is a fact, as the fat Spanish waitor would remind everyone) and that we deserve to win it. Which we do. Fact. There was also the rumour that Everton were to announce a takeover the day before the Cup Final. Oh how we waited with baited breath for today's rags to come out, and there is a mention of investment, but it's Bill Kenwright talking about how he's looking for it, not that he's found it. Let's hope that's the last anti-climax of the weekend. The city of Liverpool has become a haven for Evertonians. Blue flags are everywhere, blue noses are free from the Echo, and even he ASDA has retro Everton shirts and blue afro wigs for sale. The city wants us to win. The whole week has been leading up to the cup final, the finale to a gripping season as an Evertonian, and as you wake up bleary eyed thinking about your trip to London, telling yourself "just one more sleep!", spare a thought for all the hapless Kopites whose only success this season was seeing Man Utd lose on Wednesday. "We're the famous Everton and we're off to Wembley" (well, I'm off to bed.....)
